Then, we identify the materials and equipment needed for manufacturing and determine the various options we have to procure them. Our goal is to purchase from the best possible source within FDA or other guidelines.
The Global Sourcing Team at Empower Medical Devices has been a critical and effective part of the device manufacturing process. With their established global sourcing networks and capabilities, this specialized group of experts typically find alternative sources and considerations which result in creating a better product and/or reducing material or labor costs. The locations of our team members span the globe. They are expert in supply chain logistics and will determine the best manufacturing location and shipping logistics for your medical device project.
Empower Medical Devices can control the manufacture at any of seven worldwide locations. However, they may also use outside manufacturing centers if needed.

Our manufacturing operations feature dedicated production lines for our partners’ products. Our Production Teams are well trained and assigned to various tasks in the manufacture of your product. Our Manufacturing Program Manager supervises the operation and tracks all progress with our Stage-Gate process.
Empower Medical Devices has access to 7 global manufacturing operations in Mexico, China and the U.S., and many others as needed. If one of our plants is not able to manufacture your product, we will use one of our manufacturing partners, and operate in the same manner to assure you will receive a quality product. Our Product Management and Process tools will ensure that your product meets all performance requirements and specifications and is made within the control limits of variation during the manufacturing process.
As a quality-conscious company, Empower Medical Devices integrates the principles and tools of Lean Manufacturing in our everyday operations. Statistical Process Control methods are used throughout our planning, sourcing, incoming materials, manufacturing and outgoing processes to reduce variation in our end products.
As an integral part of our manufacturing process, we conduct rigorous quality product planning, manufacturing and testing. We utilize the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for this purpose. The use of this tool ensures a flawless product launch.
Program Managers are assigned to your project for both the Engineering/Design phase and the Manufacturing phase of operations. The Program Managers drive the APQP process and its regular progress reviews to keep the project timeline on track.
The Manufacturing Program Manager sees the project through the complete production phase.
The Program Managers gather evidence from the project teams to make sure the steps identified in the APQP process are met. We won’t let the project – or you – fail.
We take the chosen manufacturing location in consideration to optimize the supply chain logistics. Empower Medical Devices will provide you with the best supply chain arrangement to manufacture your product and deliver it to the intended market(s).
Our Global Sourcing Team consists of experienced logistics personnel, well trained and educated to manage international shipping operations, tariffs and other trade considerations. We can ship anywhere…worldwide.
Unlike some contract manufacturers or dedicated medical device manufacturers, the role Empower Medical Devices plays does not end with shipping final goods inventory. We will see your product through the marketing and commercialization process.
Through our earlier research, we identify the target market for your product. That includes not only the primary purchaser, but other strong influencers as well. We then determine the best way to reach these targets and construct a Go To Market plan.
While we intend for most products to be sold online to target audiences, we also remain open to alternative channels to market.
Depending on the structure of the relationship you choose to have with Empower Medical Devices, we may prepare the company that owns the product for eventual sale. Once the company is sold, you the medical professional will simply cash out. This is all determined and disclosed up front in the Business Model Options.
