Comprehensive Medical Device Development
Our Engineering Team will take the product concept and, unless a print is already provided, design the product for full functionality. Our engineers have decades of design engineering experience, creating and producing products for the medical device and equipment industries.
As part of our Concept Development stage, we must:
- Demonstrate the feasibility of the technical approach and assess manufacturing process implications
- Develop a detailed plan to complete the project, including development expense
- Review the comprehensive product definition, product plan and business case, and decide whether to commit funds to further development
The initial project design initiative generally results in a CAD drawing, which provides the ability to define what materials are needed and the manufacturing processes required. Drawings are released to initiate production tooling.
We follow the rigorous paths defined by the Stage-GateĀ® and APQP processes, as well as Design for Manufacturability (DFM). DFM ensures the product can be made efficiently and cost effectively.
